Junior NCSY

Junior NCSY is a program designed to connect, inspire, and empower 6th-8th graders in Seattle. Junior NCSY gives middle schoolers a taste of what they can expect when they reach NCSY in High School. We offer many programs throughout the year specifically designed for this age group.

Teen Lounge – Every Wednesday Night from 7-9pm kids in grades 6-8 can come hang out with their friends and enjoy arcade games, foosball, WII, pool, ping pong and so much more. Some teens bring their homework with them to do at the teen lounge. Others elect to learn in our teen beit midrash with our advisors. Most just come to hang out with their friends. The teen lounge is located in the Yavneh building in the BCMH Synagogue parking lot (5145 S Morgan St. Seattle 98118) behind the portables.

Burn ‘N Learn – On the first Wednesday of every month at the teen lounge a Barbeque is made for the teens and special topics are prepared by our staff to learn with the teens. This is then followed by all the usual teen lounge fun.

Monthly outings and trips – Once a month teens are taken on a trip to places such as Whirlyball, Bowling, Laser Tag, Go-Karts etc.

Jr NCSY Shabbatons – The shabbatons are the highlight of any year for middle schoolers. Every year there is a shabbaton for 6th-8th graders in Seattle Portland and Vancouver. Shabbatons are an entire weekend filled with great food, activities speakers and friends from all over the Northwest.
